Solved!

Charged $4.99 and then $9.99?????

I was going through my banking information when I noticed that spotify charged me twice and two different prices each time! I figured that it was because I originally tried to get the student discount but canceled because APPARENTLY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE JUST A MYTH AND DON'T EXIST and so I instead chose to purchase the normal subscription. There's one of two things that can happen here and that is A) I actually do qualify as a student in which case I would like to request my $9.99 to be refunded, or B) I do not qualify as a student in which case I would like to request that the $4.99 be refunded, please and thank you very much! Sorry for any inconvenience!!😉

Hey @xHeliosax

Unfortunately the student discount is only for college / university students.

The charge for the student discount should disappear soon.

If we’re unable to verify your student I.D, you won’t be eligible to claim the student discount. In this instance, any charges will show on your statement as ‘pending’. This means your bank has put a temporary authorization on the funds, but no money has actually been taken.

Once the bank confirms your student I.D failed to verify successfully, the money will reappear on your statement. This can take up to 48 hours, depending on your bank. You can reach out to them for more information about any pending payments.
