Charged but I don't have premium

I was sighing up to get the student discount and I put my card info in and everything, at the end I had to verify my college, didn't know it was for college students so I backed out. Why am I still being charged $5? My subscription status is still free.

Have you received a payment confirmation email for the payments? Any payments that you haven't gotten a receipt for are only pending and should be canceled soon. If you check in a few days and still have this charge, let me know and I will escalate this to a Spotify staff member!
