Charged full price for premium on student account

Premium - with Student Discount



Spotify has been charging me for the full price of a Premium account, but I am verified as a student through 1/21/2021. The account type listed in my settings confirms this. I would like to be reimbursed for previous overcharges and ensure no future overcharges occur. This is the second time this has come up for me. I am planning to delete the entire account if no reimbursement is provided within the next two weeks. 

Any help is appreciated. Thank you and take care.

Sorry to hear that you've been paying more than expected for your Premium subscription, but no worries - help's on the way 🙂


Since you're already verified as a Student, we recommend you try applying for the discount again here.


Keep in mind that your student discount is not automatically activated upon approval of your student verification request. You will need to click on the link that was sent to your email by SheerID to complete the process.


You can always check the status of your subscription on your account page, under Your plan.
