Charged regular premium price but verified as student? (SOLUTION)

If Spotify has been charging you the full premium subscription price, but you are verified as a student this is the solution I found to fix this:

+ go to www.spotify.com/us/

+ log in

+ click "profile" drop down

+ click account

+ in "account overview" on the right side you'll see your subscription

+ click "manage plan"

+ adjust your plan accordingly

It seems that Spotify does not automatically change your plan even though you get verified as a student.

When you subscribe to the Student Discount via this page, your old subscription should automatically convert to the discounted subscription. Keep in mind you have to do the process again after 12 months.

If you’ve never used your Premium subscription, or have bought but not redeemed an online Spotify gift card, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Just contact us.
