Charged twice by Spotify and Google Play

I subscribed to DUO and as the free trial ended I was charged twice. By Spotify and by Google Play. Same date, same amount. They are not in pending

Hello @Lisa1971!

Thanks for letting me know that. It is possible that you're paying for two subscriptions at the same time, this means you might have accidentally created an additional account and you're paying for it too. I'd recommend checking out this Support article for more help finding additional accounts.

If you do have another account, you can check if it has an active Premium subscription here. You can find the steps to cancel it here.

Let me know how this goes!

Hello @Lisa1971!

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. I'm sure we can figure out what happened here. Can you let me know if you're paying your subscription using a credit card or another payment method? Also, did you see these two charges in your bank account or got a receipt by email? It might also be worth checking your Spotify receipts page to see if it reflects the double charge.

Keep me posted!

Hi Jose,

I can see the charges in my bank statement. I am paying with debit card.

My Spotify recepit only shows 1 charge. My Spotify app says my subscription and payment are managed by Google play.

Hey @Lisa1971!

Thanks for your reply. Has this happened to you before, or is it the first time? I'd also suggest reading this Support article for me help.

Keep me posted 🙂

Hi @Jose_M,

It's the first time as I have just subscribed. I really don't want to wait until next month to see if it happens again. Thinking of cancelling my subscription.
