Converting to a Premium acct when one user has an iTunes for Spotify acct.

I am hoping to get a straight answer.  WE are a family of four who wants to convert to a family Spotify account.  The problem is my son has had a Spotify through iTunes for the last 1.5 years and my daughter has a student account through Spotify.  My real issue is whether both kids can keep all their previously downloaded music and playlists they already have through their current account.  I know my son has to cancel the premium through iTunes, but that does not answer whether he will lose all of his music and playlists from past 1.5 years.  Many thanks!!!

Yes, the music of your kids is perfectly safe. The music linked to their accounts not their subscription. If they cancel their Premium subscriptions the music and playlists will remain in their accounts.
