Country change

Country change

Hi

I moved to another country and l'd like to change payment card. But country need to be changed first and in "edit your profile" the scrolling menu for countries is inactive and in "subscription" I don't have any option to update it.

I did the subscription from the website not from facebook or any broadband provider.

Any Idea what to do?

Hey @vouvoul,


You can update your account's country setting by doing the following:

  1. Log in to your account page.
  2. Select Subscription in the menu on the left. 
  3. Click UPDATE DETAILS
  4. Click ‘’ for more options.
  5. Click Change Country and select the country you wish to move the account to.
  6. Select a payment method. Make sure this is one that was issued in your new country.
  7. Confirm the change by clicking CHANGE PAYMENT DETAILS.

 

The new payment method and country settings will be in effect from your next payment date.

HiThank you for the quick reply.I've finally come around to look at it and unfortunately there's no option "update details" and neither  "..." under subscription. Only "update" for the payment which I can't do...Any other possibilities?

The thing I'm noticing is using the website the page for "subscription" is not the same at all. Another site?? different versions depending on the countries we're in?

Can you please try while using your browser's ingocnito mode and/or try it on another device?

Sorry for the delay but I m pretty busy with other things. I ve tried incognito mode on my pc and another device with no success. I alway accessed the same webpage which doesn t offer me the possibiliy of chaging the country it seems to be locked country wise.

It sounds like you're trying to change your country on the account management page, that unfortunately won't work because you aren't a Free user.

You'll have to update your country setting by updating your payment method: https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/
