Credit card refused


I was trying to renew my student subscription and Spotify kept saying that my payment didn't go through. Just to see if the problem was with the student status I tried to use the card for a normal premium account but it still didn't work. So I tried to pay for the full account with paypal (can't pay for a student subscription with paypal in Italy) and boy oh boy it worked. Thing is, that Paypal account is linked to the same card that I was trying to use, so now I know the card is not the problem.

How do I get my student subscription back? I don't want to have to pay double just because of some payment error.

I suggest you contact support so they can help you


You may see an option to chat with support instead of email.


If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.
