Similar problem here. We live in Belgium anfd I have company and bank(card) in Netherlands. Duo does not let me add my wife.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
In this case, keep in mind that in order for you and your wife to share a Duo plan, you must live together. Since you mentioned you spent most of your time in Germany, we'd suggest she try to join your plan when you're there.
So, it's important you both check the country/region settings on your accounts. You can do it by going to your account page> edit profile> country or region. From there it is possible to change it. It's important to keep in mind:
That being explained, if your accounts are free, we'd suggest you change the country or region by following these steps. If your accounts are Premium, make sure your country settings match. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
@21pw3uoetz4hr7qav6zw, as mentioned above, it's important to keep in mind that the country or region of your account is linked to the one in which your payment method was issued. In that case, if possible, we'd suggest you change your payment method for one issued in the country where you currently live with your wife, so she can join your plan. Remember, it's important to double-check your country/region settings match.
We hope you found this helpful. Let us know if you need anything else.
Thanks AlejaR,
The thing is: we DO live together in Belgium, but since I have my Bank and thus my bankcards in the Netherlands, I can not change my country-settigs to Belgium. Why not check our IP adresses since most of the time we will use the same router.
This does not work for us in this way....
Arno
The thing is that the system now detects your country as the Netherlands because of your payment method, while your partner's is Belgium. Since the countries don't currently match, you'll have to switch to a payment method issued in Belgium, I'm afraid.
Hope this clears things up. The Community is always here if there's anything else you need assistance with.
Take care.
@billy J; how do you know if the country supports duo? We have the same problem and we tried both dutch as belgium adresses and still no succes
Hey @Kimmvdk,
Thanks for your post! In order for Premium Duo to work, all members must reside at the same physical location at the time of signup. If you try different addresses when verifying, it may not allow you to verify and continue with the Duo subscription.
There’s more info about this here.
Hope this helps!
