Family plan does not work

Family plan does not work

I recently started the premium subsciption and invited my boyfriend to share the subsciption.

However, as we just moved together he was entering his old address when replying to my invitation. The family plan doesnt work on his device since then.  We have cancelled the invitation and resend it, but still not working.  On my devices everything works well, but I havent found a way what my current adress set to my account?

Any ideas to solve the isuue?

Hey @yca-de,

Sorry to hear this.

It’s not possible to change the address registered on an existing Premium for Family plan.

If you move, or enter the wrong details, you need to create a new account (make sure you cancel the plan on your old account beforehand, and sign out everywhere) and subscribe to Premium for Family on that new account.

If the invite isn’t working, follow these steps:

  • If you’re accepting the invite on the same device it was sent from, make sure the owner who sent the invite has logged out of their account page first.
  • If you didn’t receive an email with the link, be sure to check your junk/spam folders.

Still not working? Try resending the invite:

Note: Only plan owners can send invites. If you’re trying to join a plan, you need to ask the owner to complete these steps.

  1. Go to your Premium for Family account page and select the member you want to re-invite.
  2. Click RESEND INVITE.
  3. If that doesn’t work, click CANCEL INVITEand re-invite the member by clicking SEND INVITE, and re-entering their details.

Let me know how you get on 😊

Thanks for the quick reply. Understood.

Does my boyfriend has to set up a new account or I?

I am a little bit confused because I never stated any address @ spotify.

Where can I see which adress is set up?

@yca-de,

Thanks for the reply!

If you are the head of the Premium for Family plan, other people on the account would have to create an account, or get an invite from the owner of the account, to join.

So in this case, if you’re the account owner, then you could send the invite to your boyfriend, or if he doesn’t have an account, he could sign up for an account: http://www.spotify.com/signup/

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to view the address registered on an existing Premium for Family plan.

If you move, or enter the wrong details, you need to create a new account and subscribe to Premium for Family on that account. Don’t forget to cancel the plan on your old account.

Hope this helps 😊
