Family subscription just changed to free

Family subscription just changed to free

Hi! I have a long-standing family subscription, that has been working fine until now. Suddenly I'm on free. 

* If I look at the subscription page it says spotify free.

* If I check the receipts, the last payment was June 2nd this year. Three days ago.

* I have not logged in anywhere else, or created an account through Facebook.

Yep, tried that before posting. No luck. I've also DM'd SpotifyCares 0n twitter, let's see what they can do.

For future reference, here's the issue:

On my account's receipts page, there was a receipt for payment for a few days earlier. However, when I checked my bank no payment had been made. Since I was now on a free account, I couldn't just change the payment details (no access to a payment page). Not sure if the payment problem was on Spotify's end or on my bank's end, but something went wrong, and nobody told me.

 

The solution: I had to sign up for family again, and invite the family members' accounts once more. Annoying, but at least we could keep our playlists.

 

The Spotify support was very unhelpful. They made me a personalised playlist, but that was about it.
