Forgot to update student discount

I forgot to update my student discount and was charged 10 dollars for the month instead of 5. I immediately went to the email and confirmed my student status. Can I be reimbursed since i am not subscribed to premium?

Your student discount is active for 12 months from the moment you apply it to your account. After that, your account will revert to the standard Premium rate.

This is so Spotify can check your eligibility each academic year. Don’t worry though! Spotify will automatically send you an email reminder when your discount is about to expire. If you’re still a student, you can reapply for an additional 12 months.
