You'll need to enter a valid payment method in order to activate the 3-month trial. You can find more information on the activation page here - "Get 3 Months Spotify Premium for 0. After this period, a monthly subscription fee applies.", but you can cancel at any time so you don't have to worry about being charged if you don't want to pay for a subscription after the trial ends.
