From Spotify Family by KPN to Spotify

From Spotify Family by KPN to Spotify

We currently have a Family account in the Netherlands through Dutch partner KPN. We will end the KPN subscription because we are going to provider Ziggo and KPN says teh  will automatically end as Spotify. We want to keep Spotify family (KPN offers the same price as Spotify self), but is there an easy way to fix this.

Hey @MJB33 ,

Thanks for reaching out.

Once the plan from KPN ends, your Spotify accounts will revert to the Free plan. You can use the ex-plan owners account to subscribe to Premium Family and invite all members again 🙂

That's, unfortunately, the only possible way to do it.

Will the playlists and favorites of all family members remain intact or does everyone have to start over? In other words. Is there any data loss going though the free plan and back to subscribed?

Hey @aaa13,

Thanks for your reply 🙂

For starters, keep in mind that, even if you are the owner or part of a Duo/Family plan, all the accounts within it are independent of one another.

That being said, if you perhaps change plans or decide to change your payment method as the owner, this is not going to affect the library of each account. All music saved should remain the same on all accounts that are part of the plan. The changes on one account shouldn't affect all accounts in a Family plan; changes remain in the account where they were made.

Keep in mind that if you change your payment provider as the owner and your account goes to our free service, all members should see their accounts as free due to the change, but their libraries will remain the same.

We hope you found this helpful. We're always here to help.
