My Question or Issue

Cancel a Spotify family subscription, will I be able to join a duo? And is it not going to come out that I was already in a family plan?

Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!

You can change your plan anytime without any problem. You can cancel your current subscription plan that is Premium for Family and then subscribe to Premium Duo. You just need to match the requirements to share the plan with someone else, like the home address that needs to be the same where your mate lives too.

Just to add to what @Luan said, if you joined that Premium Family plan as a member and not a plan manager, then you won’t be able to join a Premium Duo plan for 12 months, as you can only switch plans once in a 12 month period.
