Got a gift of Premium CODE WON'T WORK

Hi fam!

A friend purchased me 3 months of Spotify Premium as a gift but he lives in the states and I live in Canada and the code provided to me in order to redeem the gift doesn't work across border lines. PLEASE HELP? i have no idea how to even get the gift to transfer. THANKS!

Actually I'm afraid that we can't help you because as stated in the Gift Cards policy, a card can only be used in the country where it was bought (see: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/payment_help/why-doesnt-my-gift-card-work/).

You could always try to change the country linked to your account, see https://support.spotify.com/article/How-can-I-change-my-country-setting/.
