H&M 4 mth free trial- but being charged

I haven’t ever had Spotify premium but through the H&M app have offered a free 4mth trial. It all goes through, states it’ll be free, put in card details and then my bank ask me to approve a payment which then turns out to be £1.01. So I haven’t approved it and haven’t got a premium Spotify account - didn’t even have a basic Spotify account until I tried to register for the free trial.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

When you sign up for a free trial, you may notice an authorization charge for a small amount on your account. This is Spotify’s way of verifying the validity of your payment method. It’s only a temporary hold and will disappear shortly.

Although Spotify releases these funds immediately, it may take longer for your bank to process the transaction.
