Having a Spotify account for a different country

My Question or Issue

Hi Team,

I am Spotify Premium user from India and I want to know if there is a way through which I can have a Premium account for some other country...say like Sweden by paying the equivalent fees.

My issue is - here in India some of the artist, music labels, part of artist catalagoue is not available due to license issues and I happen to miss music from them. For example I am a big fan of Scandinavian artist but I am not privy to some songs and albums from certain artist (eg: Nina Persson, A Camp, etc.) here in India due to license issue for our region.

So it would be great if you can help me know if this is even possible (to have a Spotify Sweden Premium account being here in India)?

Hey @Chetanwalawalka, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

The country registered on your Spotify account must match your country of residence. In your case, you won't be able to use another Spotify that is registered in Spain while you're in India. 

In regards to music availability, Spotify wants all the world’s music and podcasts available, but availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders.
