How to cancel Hulu but not Premium

I subscribed to Hulu through my Spotify Premium subscription a few years ago.  I'd like to cancel my Hulu portion of my subscription, but not my Spotify Premium subscription.  All resources I have found online mention to cancel my Spotify Premium subscription in order to do so.  Is that the only way to cancel Hulu?  Do I then just re-subscribe for Spotify Premium?

The Premium and Hulu $9.99/month deal gives you access to Hulu’s ad-supported plan. If you wish to subscribe to another Hulu plan or cancel, you can do so directly through Hulu. Check out the steps at Hulu's Help Center.

This not true. Hulu tells you to remove Hulu from your Spotify services page, which I did.

I then spent over an hour on the help line with Hulu and they finally contacted Spotify

and they said it takes 3-5 days for Spotify to process the cancellation. It has now been 11 days

and no change. You cannot solve this by going to Hulu.
