Did you mean that you are having issues with activating Hulu with your Premium for Students plan? You should be able to activate Hulu and Showtime with your Premium for Students subscription regardless how you made the account.
Could you double check your the Your Services section of your account page and see if the additional services have been activated? If you link the wrong Hulu account, you need to cancel the subscription and resubscribe with the correct account.
Should you experience any issues with navigating your account page, we suggest that you open it in a private or incognito browser.
If you meant that Hulu is successfully activated, but you have trouble using it, you should reach out to their Customer Support. You can do this here.
