I can't use my 3 month trial subscription for the new account

I've just created a new account. I wanted to claim my 3 months of free trial subscription. There was an error "It seems like the trial version has already been activated". What should I do?

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

The current 3 month Premium offer is for people that haven't tried Premium before - new subscribers. It's possible that you see the promotion for this on Spotify's home page when you're not logged in because the site can't track if you've had a subscriptions before. Sorry if that has caused any confusion!


It's possible that you're getting this error if your e-mail address was previously used for another trial. Please note also that you wouldn't be eligible for a trial if your payment details have previously been used for a trial or a Premium subscription.

If you haven't been a subscriber before, then you should be able to get the 3 months - we recommend trying to subscribe in a different browser or in an incognito window to avoid any issues caused by the saved cache or cookies.
