I have the student discount but it charged me full price

I normally pay 4.99 per month for spotify with the student discount but for some reason they charged me 9.99 this month????

In this case, it sounds like your student discount has reached the end of its annual period. Keep in mind that this discount is only valid for a year and you'll need to renew it after 12 months.
