Son can't join because account listed me as account holder. I don't want to be account holder and have changed it to him and his email. Can a new code be resent for him?

In this case, it'd be best if the person who wants to manage the Premium Duo plan signs up for it, as it, unfortunately, isn't possible to change the plan manager once you've signed up. You can learn more about this here.

Also, the Premium Family & Kids plan could be a more suitable option for you as it accommodates up to 6 members and has greater control over explicit music. You could consider upgrading to that. Your account will continue to be the owner of the plan, but you'll then have room for more family members 🙂
