If you have Premium, you first need to cancel your subscription.

1. Log in to close your account here.
2. Select Account and login help.
3. Select I want to close my account permanently.
4. Continue through the steps.

If you're on a Premium trial, you can cancel anytime by following the steps here.

Once you've cancelled successfully, your account page should display the date your plan will change to Spotify Free. You can continue to use Premium features until then.
