I was charged because of my Student account but I still don't have Premium

Solved!

I was charged because of my Student account but I still don't have Premium

My Question or Issue:

I contracted the Premium Student Plan since the end of August. I've been charged but my Premium account seems to be "in hold" until November 3rd (picture attached). Weeks ago my account details said I was going to have my Premium account available today (October 3rd) and now it expanded one month more.

If I was already charged, I'm suppossed to get the service. Why do I have to wait one month and being charged at the same time for something I'm not getting?

Thanks for your help!

Plan: Premium for students

Country: Mexico

Device: Huawei P Smart Model FIG- LX3

Operating System: Android 8.0

Hi @gonzacro!

It sounds like you might’ve accidentally created a second account and signed into that one instead. I'd recommend checking out the FAQ page "Can I create multiple accounts?" here for more info.

I'd recommend logging out of all your devices and logging back in with the username that appears in your receipt.

If that doesn't help, can you try using another device or logging in the Web Player to see if that makes a difference?

Hope this helps!

Hello @gonzacro!

I'm glad you could figure out what was going on here.

It might be easier to move your playlists to the Premium account 🙂

Hello @gonzacro!

Spotify Premium for Students is a monthly subscription. That means you'll be charged the rate every month for 12 months. Then you can sing up for another student discount up to 4 times.

What you're seeing in your Spotify subscription page, is your next payment date, the day your next payment will be done.

You should be able to access Premium for Students anyways. Let me know if you don't have access to Premium and I'll figure out what's happening here 🙂

Hope this helps and have a nice day!

Hi! Thanks for helping me!

I still don't have access to premium. Already a month to be specific. What
can I do to solve it?

Thanks!

Hey!

Still no access. Almost a month to be specific.  How can we do for you to help me?

Thank you very much for your support!

Hi again!

Well, I have tried all those different options and nothing happened...

What else can Spotify do for me? Is not under me.

Thanks!

Hello!

Can you let me know if you get adverts? It would be great if you could include a screenshot. Make sure to cover any sensitive info.

Keep me posted 🙂

I'm attaching the emails I got when my student account was approved and when I got charged the first time ( september 3rd).

Hey, thanks for your reply!

Could you let me know what's wrong then? Are you able to access Premium features or listen without ads?

I was charged for my premium account but I don't have Premium features.

My account is always showing ads and reccommending me to suscribe for Premium, what I have already done... and paid.

So any update?

I just tried this and that was the problem, you're right 😞

Is there any way to transfer my payment to the last account I used to have? All my playlists were there 😞

Thanks for helping me out!
