If the problem is only happening with an external speaker, we'd first recommend making sure your accounts are properly linked (Google + Spotify) by following the steps mentioned in this article. If possible, try to unlink and relink them to see if it makes any difference.

Also, would you mind confirming if you're playing the tracks by opening your app on your mobile device/desktop and using the Connect feature? or if you're using voice commands to ask Google to play your music directly on the speaker? it would be also worth trying the other method to see if both ways of playing your music from the speaker are affected.
