Just verified for student premium but double charged for 2 different premium amounts

I just got verified for a student premium account so I went directly to my Spotify account online and updated my details. I saw that I was charged $11.99 for a regular premium account. I went back to my email and clicked through the link in the email and was then charged $5.99 for the student premium account. I logged out and logged back in to synce the account information, but both charges are still pending on my bank statement.

Can you please update me or credit my account?

Hey @Steeenz,

A pending charge is a part of your bank or credit card company’s authorization process. When you submit a payment, they place a temporary authorization on the funds.

If the transaction doesn’t successfully complete, no money will be taken and the charge will soon disappear. The time this takes can vary, depending on your bank/credit card company. For more information, contact your bank/credit card company.
