Move my account from family subscription to private subscription

Hi,

My account is tied to our family subscription. I want to move it to a new private subscription because I moved. I would like to keep my Playlists and login. How should I approach this?

Hi @sdengineering77,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

No worries, changing subscription plans won’t cause you to lose any of your playlists or saved music, and you can keep your same Spotify account.

You can leave the Premium Family plan by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account page
  2. Under Your plan, click Change Plan
  3. Scroll to Spotify Free and click Cancel Premium

When you leave the Premium Family plan, your account will revert to the free plan and then you can then subscribe to your own Premium Individual plan here.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
