New card.."Your payment method and country don't match"

My Question or Issue

My bank issued a new VISA debit card and old one expired. So I go to update the payment info and it fails due to the country doesn't match. My card zip code is 89002 which is Henderson, NV. USA. My Spotify country is showing United States. I've tries it several times and with two different cards.

It's good that you've checked that the country in your Spotify account matches the one on the newly issued card. 

 

As a next step, we would advise you to try it on a Desktop device in an Incognito Window. This will prevent any cache-related issues from messing up your next attempt. 

 

If that doesn't do it, make sure you've crossed this possibilities off the list:

 

  • Double-check that you enter the details correctly, particularly the 3-digit number on the back of your card (the CVV/CVC security code).
  • Check your card is enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases. You can contact your bank or credit company to check.
  • Check you have sufficient funds. If you’re using a pre-paid card, you might need to top up.
  • Your bank might request that you authorize the payment.
