No Nest for long term family subscription?

Hi, I'm a long term subscriber of Spotify premium which I pay for with a debit card each month though it seems I'm not eligible for a free nest? whats stopping me from downgrading then upgrading and getting benefits? pretty poor loyalty rewards....
