Not Eligible for Premium Offer

Not Eligible for Premium Offer

Hi, I have received an offer to re-activate Premium for $9.99 for three months but when I click on the e-mail link and login to my account it says I am NOT eligible for the offer but I am unclear why. I have NOT deactivated Premium after April 15th 2019.

Please advise.

Hey @Paoloradam, and welcome to the community.

Hope you're doing great!

Could you let me know which country you're located in? I'd love to take a look into this for you.

Thanks!

Hi!

Thank you for responding to my inquiry. I am in the United States

Hey @Paoloradam, and welcome to the community.

Hope you're doing great!

I've taken a look, and the only offer for Premium in the US is 3 months of Premium, for $0.99. If you have taken a trial offer in the past, or the 60 day trial in the past - you're ineligible for this offer. More info on this in the terms here.

If you'd like to learn more about this offer, check out this page.

I hope this helps! I'll be right here if you need a hand with anything else 🙂

I have never been a paid member

I only have a free account

I bought two tplink products and got a coupon code for Spotify premium

I used the code and It looks like you’re not eligible for that offer, but we found more for you.

Please can you help me

Ps.
Has anyone ever got the free premium Spotify

Hey @Gasmo164,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this!

We're not aware of a Spotify with TP-Link offer. Could you clarify how you got the offer? Do the TP-Link products come with a Spotify gift card?

Once we have that info, we'll be able to look into this further.

Thanks! Keep us posted 🙂

I bought two tplink smart bulbs from curry's pc world

On the label was an offer of 6 months free spotify premium service

On my receipt from curry's there Was a code for Spotify premium service

I went to the correct site address

And put in the code and the website said I was not allowed to have a premium account.

I contacted Spotify help and spoke to 3 different people and eventually they put me through to the support team by email

I received two emails from them and nothing else

No more emails or calls about this issue

This is also my first time for trying to use the promotion. I was able to get the email that says "Your Google Home Mini is available" so I went through the whole process and I was even able to checkout on the Google store with the free mini. I never got a confirmation email about the order and there's no history in my orders on my Google account. I reached out to Google yesterday and here's what they told me.

It's been two weeks so why can I not get the offer?

Sounds like a scam

Check your bank / PayPal

The only charge dealing with this is the subscription itself

Do you have another email address

Not associated with my spotify/google account

I don't know what to do about this

Try again

I'm thinking about taking Spotify to court

The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 prohibit commercial practices that are unfair to you. If a trader misleads you or engages in an aggressive commercial practice and you make a decision to purchase a product that you would not otherwise have done, the trader may be in breach of the Regulations. There are 31 specific commercial practices set out in the Regulations that are banned outright.

Spotify has not given a product that states get free spotify premium service for 6 months
And they have not delivered anything

Hey @Gasmo164,

Thanks for reaching out, for describing your issue and for sending screenshots!

Since the error message you get is "It looks like you're not eligible for that offer, but we found more for you", let us know:

  • If you've ever had a free trial.
  • If you've ever used a coupon for Spotify before.
  • If you've paid for someone else's Spotify in the past (for a friend's or a family member's subscription).

It'll be also useful to check if you have other accounts that you could have had a Premium subscription on. It's possible to create multiple accounts which can lead to unexpected charges or missing music, playlists, an unaccepted payment method (which has been used for a trial before).

Keep us posted!

I have never been a paid member of spotify nor have I paid for for anyone else

Nor have I tried any trials or free 30 days

Hey @Gasmo164,

Thanks for coming back to us so quickly and for confirming!

Did you also check if you have created any additional accounts? It's important to check it off the list, so we know this is not a possible reason for the issue.

Also, have you tried redeeming the offer only on mobile (judging by the screenshots)? If so, can you check what happens on a desktop device?

We're waiting for your reply.
