Not able to switch from premium individual to student

Im facing this issue for a month. Ive verified my student ID using SheerID and then tried to buy the subscription, It isnt letting me to. Ive subscribed thru google play and have free trial going on. I checked the FAQ's and all but still no help. Ive provided the screen recording.

Sorry to hear that. Since you pay through Google Play Billing, you can only change your Premium plan through the Spotify mobile app. In the app, follow these steps: 

1. Tap your profile picture at the top.
2. Tap Settings and privacy Settings.
3. Tap Account.
4. Under Your plan, tap See available plans.
5. Choose the new plan (Premium Student).

You should automatically be switched to Premium Student given that you had already verified with SheerID through Spotify.

Yes, when you switch plans while on your Premium trial, your plan will switch immediately meaning you will forfeit your remaining trial time. It’s best to finish the trial before switching your plan.
