One year prepayment to Family Subscription

How does it work? Do i get some money back when the year isnt over yet when I switch  that I prepaid for? Or do i just dont have to pay longer? Couldnt find an awnser.

Likely it will put your current payments on hold (if any) and just extend your subscription by another 365 days, before taking a further payment. 

I am am not aware of a partial refund personally.
