Paid for a year

I just paid for a family sub- for a year, but i just notice i only got 8 months, why is this,

I thought paying the year upfront, would save money, but just 8 months works out at the same cost, so who would pay all up front, with no saving.

Paying monthly and paying upfront for a full year ends up being the same cost. The reason some users would prefer to pay once per year is so that their bill is condensed into one single payment instead of drawn out and harder to keep track of.
