My Question or Issue

I have been subscribing to Spotify Premium for several years. I recently moved to Croatia. I changed my country to Croatia in my profile, and I also added a debit card issued by a Croatian bank. However, the payment fails for unknown reason. The message reads: The payment failed. Please try again, use a different payment card or a different payment method. Go to our support."

 

How do I troubleshoot?

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

In order for the payment to go through successfully, make sure that:

  • you have sufficient funds
  • your card is open for foreign, recurring and online payments. You may need to double-check this with your bank
  • you have set up a 2-factor authentication

Once you've checked these, you can try subscribing again using an incognito/private window, another browser or another device. You can also try with a different network / mobile data, or with a different payment method (if available). More info here.
