Payment issues

My premium I've had for almost a year expired so I paid 9.99 (my normal monthly payment) to turn it back on. But it only gave me the basic service and now wants another payment of 14.99 now and monthly for me to have a family premium? Why would i pay 5 extra monthly when only i use it and what did i spend 9.99 on when it did nothing?

Hey @rolfester91,

Welcome to the forums!

As I understand from your post, you have paid 9.99 for premium, and you are being asked to pay another 14.99 for family premium?

Could you take look at the following and let me know what you find please:

The first one is your subscription page, and I'm interested to know what it says about your subscription (Free or Premium): https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/

The other link to check is your receipts panel. here: https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/receipt/

Thanks.

Yeah it says I have premium but when I try skipping songs it tells me I need to upgrade to family premium and won't let me skip or use any features of premium .

HI @rolfester91,

Thanks for that information.

If you have not done so already, could you log out and then back in to the account. And then check it still says premium. Also possibly try that exact account on a different device if possible?

If the issue is sitll there after this, please clear the cache on the device.

If after all that you still face the same, please uninstall the app. (unless you are using it through a web browser).

Please let me know how this goes 🙂
