Premium Duo just subscribed and my boyfriend sharing the same flat is not accepted

Hello,

I had Premium Free and just moved to Premium Duo. I guess that when I opened my account I was still living in Italy. I leave in Austria with my boyfriend now and I wanted to share the account with him. He is sitting next to me and Spotify is saying we are not living together at the same address. I cannot change the contry in any possible way.

I do not want to pay 14.99€ for nothing. For that amount I need a shared account.

Please help me with that.

In the worst case scenario, can I come back to Premium Free, pay 10.99€ without and keep all my data?

Thank you,

AV

Hey @AV84,

Thanks for reaching out.

In this case, you'll need to update your country setting. You can try it following the steps listed at https://support.spotify.com/article/country-region-settings/.

If those steps don't work for you, you'll need to cancel your current subscription and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you can change your country setting through the dropdown menu here.

Once that's done, you can subscribe to your desired plan using your payment method that's been issued in the country you're currently in at https://spotify.com/premium.

Instructions on how to cancel and how that affects your account can be found at https://support.spotify.com/article/cancel-premium/.

Hope this helps 🙂
