My Question or Issue

So, I have premium student and I moved from Ukraine to Germany due to war a some time ago (I am still a student in Ukraine, study online). I can't update the country on my account and the payment from Germany isn't accepted. What should I do?

Hey @ElHolmes,

Thanks for reaching out.

Since you study in Ukraine, your country must continue to be set to Ukraine if you want to benefit from Premium Student.

If you want to change your country setting to Germany (and lose the discount), you can cancel your subscription, wait until it ends, then update your country setting through the dropdown menu, and then subscribe to Premium again. 🙂

Hope this clears things up!

But what if I live in another country? And I only have payments issued in the second country? I can't continue living in Ukraine due to the war, but I continue studying there online.

Is there really no way to figure this out otherwise?

Hey @ElHolmes ,

Thanks for getting back.

Please understand that you're only eligible for Premium Student if your account's country setting as well as the country of your payment method matches the country you're studying/enrolled in.

If one of those requirements isn't met, you're unfortunately not able to claim the discount and can only choose one of the other plans at https://spotify.com/premium.
