Premium to vodafone

Hello all -  I've recently upgraded my vodafone to include 2 years of free spotify premium.  I'm already a premium payer.  Can i confirm the process for using the vodafone offer as follows:

1) cancel premium subscription

2) follow instructions from vodafone to use their offer

Do I have to wait a certain time from cancelling the premium subscription before activating the vodafone offer or can i do it instantly

This may seem quite a basic query but I'm worried about being locked out the account or losing playlists if its not done correctly

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting!

Before performing any changes to your subscription, we suggest you double check the Terms & Conditions of the trial offered by Vodafone. Take into account that some free trials aren't applicable for accounts that were Premium in the past. 

If you've confirmed you're eligible for the trial, then you just need to cancel your current subscription. After your current billing period finishes and your account is reverted to free, you should be able to activate the trial.

You can check when your billing period ends from your Account Overview.

Lastly, keep in mind that even if your account is reverted to free, your library and playlists shouldn't be affected, since they're not related to the subscription status.

Thanks for the info. I have cancelled my premium and as of today I am on Spotify free. I've gone to activate the 2 year free Spotify offer through Vodafone and I keep getting errors. Before I go chasing Vodafone is there anything else I need to do. Also how does it work do Vodafone somehow connect to my free account or do I get a code from Vodafone to activate spotify premium?

Since this is an offer from Vodafone, you'd need to contact their customer support for further assistance. They'll be able to guide you through the activation process. Your Spotify premium subscription will run directly through Vodafone 🙂
