Premium trial reverts to free after a day

Premium trial reverts to free after a day

I have recently activated a one month free trial for premium however after one day of use it has reverted back to free user. This was a new Spotify account with a new payment method as I have not used Spotify premium before. Many thanks

Hey @Suffy 

It looks like your Spotify Premium trial was canceled prematurely. Here are some possible reasons and solutions for the issue:

  1. Check your subscription status

    • Go to Your Spotify Account and see if your subscription still shows as Premium or if it has reverted to the free plan.
  2. Payment method was declined

    • Even though it’s a free trial, Spotify may place a temporary charge to verify the payment method. If there was an issue with your card or bank account, the trial could have been canceled.
    • Try adding a different payment method and see if you can reactivate the trial.
  3. Have you used a trial before?

    • Spotify only allows one free trial per account (and in some cases, per payment method). If the system detected that you’ve had a trial before, it may have ended the promotional period early.
  4. Payment method linked to another trial?

    • If you created a new account but used a payment method that was previously used for another trial, Spotify might have automatically canceled the new trial.

Hello the temporary verification charge left my bank was refunded everything worked for a day then all of a sudden it reverted I’m soo confused

I contacted them they said it’s because my details have been used before however this is untrue because it is a fresh email and payment method and then when I asked they said they can’t go into details

As you have already used your account in the promotion, as described by support, you must use the common premium plan.

Hello, I have the trial subscription and it was supposed to stop on the 16th but it suddenly stopped today without any email to warn me.

Could someone help me?

Bro, I have the same situation. Did you solve your problem, if yes, how?

I signed up for Spotify Premium for 3 months free on 04/17 and today I noticed that my account was downgraded to the free plan. There is no notification in my email.

 

Premium was supposed to be terminated or charged on 07/17. Please return my account to Premium. There is no explanation for what happened. It just went downgraded to the free plan.

On April 30th, I signed up to a 3 month free trial for the first time on my Spotify account, however on 9th June it randomly started glitching and the trial ended. No one has my login details to this account. It happened gradually, starting off with all of my downloaded songs being undownloaded, and then when I tried to open and close the app the "you have just discovered a premium feature" notification kept popping up and I no longer had premium. I tried logging in and out, and uninstalling the app but nothing is working. Can you explain why this happened and can I have my free trial back please.

The same thing just happened to me. I also had a 3-month free trial, which I bought in May. And now I don't have it anymore. It's only been a month... I'll barely report it, but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Purchased Spotify Gift Card (for 1 year Premium Individual) on Amazon. Set up account via spotify.com/redeem, with an email definitely never used on Spotify before. No trouble with set up. Account worked fine as Premium for about ten days or so, but then I heard an advert. Checked account, and it now says it's a "free" account.

It's weird, because my payment info *is* shown in this account's details (pics attached; order # and invoice ID blacked out by me). I did try "activating" premium again, using the same gift card PIN, but the response I get now is that the PIN appears to be invalid (I assume because it was already used).

Suggestions, please!
