Please check that you don't have a duplicate account. One account associated with a username, the other created and linked to your Facebook profile.
You should have received a confirmation email from Spotify of your purchase which will include a username. Can you double check that you're signing in with the correct username (a 10-digit number means you need to sign in through Facebook)?
If you are sure that you don't have a duplicate account, please get in touch with support here so they can help you.
If you receive an automated email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address. Support usually answers within 24-48 hours.
