Samsung a71 6 month premium trial not loading

My Question or Issue

I have recently purchased a samsung a71 and I am unable to load the 6 month free premium trial offer. 

When i look at the premium tab I am only given monthly trial options. 

I have not had a premium account before.

Is there an issue with the offer?

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

 

You can start off by logging out > restating your device > logging back in.

 

If you're still not able to see the offer in the Premium-tab in the app, you can try a clean reinstall to make sure you have the latest Spotify version.

 

In case the issue persists, could you send us a screenshot of the offers you see in the tab in the app?

 

We'll be happy to investigate this further 🔍

Hi, please see attached screenshots.
I have clean reinstalled the app as suggested in the email I received
however the option for 6 months free premium membership still does not
show.

We're afraid that the screenshots you attached is not showing up on our end, could you try sending them again?

 

We'll also need to know your Spotify and Android versions and if your device has been used to redeem a Spotify offer before.

Hi there, I also have the same problem as above. Can you please assist? Only have the option for 3 months and no mention of Samsung 6 months free trial.

It was never resolved for me, so I never signed up. I was told to uninstall
and reinstall the app but that made no difference. Then told to send
screenshots which I did, but they couldn't receive the screenshots. I gave
up in the end.

Thanks for the reply. I hope that they find the answer as to how to fix
this as this is one of the reasons i bought the phone and will have to
return it if it doesnt work.

I have the same issue with my new A71.

 

Contacted spotify through online chat, they told me that the offer is not launched, but they refused to give any further details. See below statement. Yet it was advertised on both Samsung and Carephone Warehouse uk websites as available. After, I asked a few more questions, they cut off the chat without answering any of them. Not impressed with the service so far.

Just jumping in here to confirm that you should now be able to redeem the offer when you log in to the Spotify app on your new Samsung phone and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Premium.png Premium tab
  2. You'll see the 6 months Premium free offer, click on Get Premium
  3. Enter payment details and click Start My Spotify Premium
