Signed up for 30 day trail, charged since day 1

Signed up for 30 day trail, charged since day 1

 

So I signed up April 15 for a 30 day free trail ($0.01)

Then $9.99 each month therafter.

I just noticed I was charged on April 15th, and will be charged again on may 15th.

 

How can this be fixed? Who can I talk to outside of this community? I cant seem to find any customer support information.

Did you sign up for a Premium trial in the past, or did you ever use your payment method for Spotify's services in the past?

No, I signed up for the free option a year ago. 

 

I never gave any payment details until the day I was charged.

This explains why you were charged for Premium. You’re only allowed to use a free trial once, unless stated otherwise. 

 

I’d recommend checking out this support article for more info on Premium trials and deals.

I'm confused. Maybe I wrote that wrong, or it was read wrong. A year ago I signed up with my email and have always had ads. Never signed up for premium. Never had a trial etc. 

 

Just recently within the last month, I started using spotify more and more. I then thought maybe I should finally sign up and get ride of the ads.

For the very first time ever in my life, I gave spotify a credit card number and signed up. Assuming I would receive a free trial as advertised. But then I was charged.

 

I am still confused as to why I cannot speak to anyone at spotify to address this. I appreciate the community's hel . But it seems wierd.
