Spotify Unlimited / Use on mobile phone

Solved!

Spotify Unlimited / Use on mobile phone

Hi to the community,

I have been using Spotify Unlimited for a couple of years now and it used to work perfectly also on my Android Smartphone until about 2 weeks ago.

If now I open it on my mobile, it says that I have a Spotify Free account only, not allowing me anymore the services contained within Spotify Unlimited.

On my computer and on my Amazon Firestick I can still use the full services of Unlimited, but not on my mobile anymore.

I know that Unlimited was discontinued some time ago, but it still used to work on my mobile for quite a long time and now it's not possible anymore.

Was this service now cancelled completely for mobile phones, or is there any chance to get this working again apart from changing subscription to Premium?

Many thanks in advance for your help and assistance and kind regards,

Marcus

Hey @Johnaston ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Spotify is always testing out features to give their users the best listening experience. This means adding new features, and sometimes, removing old ones.

I can confirm that they’re closing Spotify Unlimited, and all accounts under it will change to their free, ad-supported service.

You can also subscribe to a Premium plan here to keep enjoying all the Premium features in all your devices.

I hope this clears things up 🙂
