Spotify keeps on asking me to update my payment details

Why does this thing keeps on asking me to update my payment details when we did not even change our location nor our credit cards. My father is skeptical because it might be a hacker who's trying to get his credit card details. I need some affirmation.

Rest assure that notifications within the app are user oriented and cannot be presented if there isn't an actual issue.

Feel free to use this payment troubleshooting page to try and solve the issue before the account rejects your payment method.
