Spotify one month gift card not working

My Question or Issue

I have bought a one month premium gift card and i have entered the code in a lot of times and it just shows the error message " Something went wrong. Please try again, or go to our support. " I have tried entering the code in on my computer and on my phone I have tried 3 different browsers and I have tried entering the code on private browsing and i got the same error message and i do not know what to try anymore. 

Any help is appreciated.

Could you please mention your current subscription type and device in use ?

I am currently on a free subscription and i am using my computer. I have also looked at the gift cards help page but that has not helped me. 

Any help is appreciated.

thanks for checking my reply !

If you've just created your Spotify account you might want to consider trying to redeem the card on a new account.

However, some cards should be activated by the stores themselves, so i would go back to the store you bought the card from and let them know there's an issue with it.
