Spotify took extra charge

Spotify took extra charge

Whilst trying to pay for my account by myself as my dad has ordered a new credit card, i tought it would be nice to use the student discharge, i put my credit card information in etc. and they said they wouldn't charge me the money (49 swedish SEK), but then i couldnt choose my school (Gymnasium, not university) so i left, and spotify had charged me 49kr and i stil was forced to put in my credit card information again, and then they charged me 99kr (After 3 months i have to pay 140+kr). This is uneccaptable, and ever penny counts as i only get $100 a month as a student to live on.

Hey @staffanärdöd,

If Spotify is unable to verify your student I.D, you won’t be eligible to claim the student discount. In this instance, any charges will show on your statement as ‘pending’. This means your bank has put a temporary authorization on the funds, but no money has actually been taken.

Once the bank confirms your student I.D failed to verify successfully, the money will reappear on your statement. This can take up to 48 hours, depending on your bank. You can reach out to them for more information about any pending payments.
