Spotify won't let me change countries OR update payment method

Hey, 

 

So I moved to England from The Netherlands last year. 
I changed my address and got with a new bank. 

Now, I want to get Spotify family for me and my boyfriend. I managed to update my premium to family, but I cannot change my payment details. When I fill in my card from the UK, it says that I'm in the wrong country. When I want to change my country, it tells me that I need to fill in a new payment method.... So yeah, I'm stuck. 

 

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Hi! From you mentioning "payment method", I am assuming that you are on Spotify Premium. There are a couple things you need to know.

 

  1. If you have Premium, Spotify works wherever you are in the world, even if you don't change your country settings.
  2. If you have Premium, in order to change your country settings, you'll need a valid payment method in the country that you want to switch to.

Keeping these things in mind, here is how you can change your country (and payment information) in Spotify 🙂

 

  1. Log into your account page on the Spotify website
  2. Select "Subscription" in the left panel
  3. Click "Update Details"
  4. Click "..." for more options
  5. Click "Change Country" and select the country you want to move your account to
  6. Choose a payment method that is based in the new country (i.e. the billing address is in the country)
  7. Confirm the change by clicking "Change Payment Details"

I have everything that is needed, but it just won't go through at all. 

For some reason, after clicking your link, my entire spotify is in Chech now, And I can't seem to change this? 

Hey sorry I was a bit quick to reply haha, I managed to change my payment details, but I still cannot change my country? 

So what country does it say your from because it wouldn't accept a credit card from a country your not in

It still says The Netherlands.

I have the same issue. When I go to change my country the entire country drop down menu is greyed out so there is no way to change my country from Australia to the UK. And there is no spotify help to contact which is INFURIATING
