Started premium but only got 1 month free not 3 as advertised

Hi everyone,

I've had a free plan for ages but signed up to premium a couple of weeks ago.  I've just noticed that my first payment of £9.99 will be taken after one month free use, but all the adverts say it's free for three months.

I've never had premium before, which I believe would have made me ineligible for the three months free.

Does anyone know why this happened and if / how I can get the extra 2 months free?

Thanks!

Nellie

Hey @newbie94 ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

When did you start your subscription? You might be able to find this info at https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/receipt/. 🙂

Keep in mind that Spotify has different offers from time to time so they might've not had that offer at the time when you started your Premium subscription.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Maxim, thanks for getting back to me!  I signed up for Premium on 13 August so just a couple of weeks ago.

Hey @newbie94 ,

Thanks for getting back.

Unfortunately, there was no such offer at the time when you subscribed, which is why your trial was only one month instead of three.

Hope this clears things up 🙂

Thanks again Maxim.  Do you know when the current offer started?

Hey @newbie94 ,

I've just looked into this. The current offer started on August 15.

Hope this answers your question 🙂
