Switch from premium to family after the month has been charged

My Question or Issue

 I have a premium account which has already been charged (next payment July 17) so, if I want to change to family right now, will I be charged only the $3 left or another $9?

First, keep in mind that in order to get the Premium for Family plan you need to subscribe with a credit card.

If you upgrade to the Premium for Family plan, you won't be charged again right away. The remaining time for regular Premium you already payed for will become time for the Premium for Family plan. However, this will bring your next payment date forward a few days. You'll be able to upgrade your subscription here.
